I stumbled upon this area this past Feb while ice fishing. While trying to find public access to the lake, I discovered the remains of a lake home.

The land has been taken over by the State or County and now is the public access for Kaubashine Lake. The boat ramp is for carry in boats only, and has a set of log rails to slide your boat down.

I find this spot facinating to explore. There are field stone walls and foundations of what was probably a beautiful home. You have to wonder what the house looked like in it's prime, and ponder why it no longer exists.

The cache container is a rectangular ziplock storage container. Inside is a pencil and log book.

Have fun exploring this scenic location
