Ladybug Kids: Looks like everyone who I remember attended this Cache Event logged their attendance and all Travel Bugs have been retrieved, so it's time to archive this cache.

Many thanks to those who attended and made the afternoon/evening so much fun!!!

Geocache Description:

Come up to Birch Hill Recreation Area in Fairbanks, Alaska, to pick up your Alaska Geocoins and try your luck with a GPS accuracy contest.

The Ladybug Kids will be in the Birch Hill stadium rain or shine to distribute the newly minted Alaska Geocoins on Sunday, July 10, from 5:00-6:00 p.m.  You may still purchase coins if you missed out on the first two rounds of ordering.  See the 2005 Alaska Geocoin Webpages for details.

The provided coordinates will take you to the Birch Hill parking area.  From there, walk up the ramp or climb the stairs into the Birch Hill stadium and look for the "Alaska Geocaching" banner.

A cooler full of soft drinks will be provided, but please bring snacks to share with other cachers. Please log a "Will Attend" note so we know how many people to expect.  Please e-mail us at Ladybug Kids if you will be unable to attend and need to make alternative arrangements to pick up your coins.

Additional coin distribution event caches are scheduled for Monday, July 11, and Tuesday, July 12, in Valdez and Anchorage respectively, so be sure to watch for an event coming soon to a location near you!!!
