Geocache Description:

After a wonderful turnout last year we decided to do it again!

PLACE: Central Park, Doylestown, PA. The above coordinates are for the pavilion that has been secured for the 6th. Parking is close by: N40° 17.165 W075° 08.262.

DATE: August 6, 2005

WHAT: A picnic to celebrate the summer and for geocachers to gather for some fun and excitement.

WHO: All geocachers, no matter where you live, are welcome to spend the day with us. Also bring your families as Kid's Castle is not to be missed.

FOOD: People should be responsible for bringing food for themselves and their teams. You are most welcome to bring food to share with others if you want, but it is not required. If you want to bring something to share, please use our sign-up sheet. Since we are officially meeting between 1230pm and 100pm, people can chow down whenever they feel like it. (At the last event we all started eating not too long after we gathered.)

ACTIVITIES:

CACHING: The event planners will be hiding a few temporary caches as usual.

TRAVEL BUG TRADE: Be sure to bring along your travelbugs for our Bug Trade. You can drop them in this event as you would drop them into a cache.

GAMES: The SEPAG Games Master has games planned for cachers of all ages!

Eastern Mountain Sports (EMS) will have reps and a table set up at the event with sample products and donated give-aways. Participants will be able to try different GPSr units during the day.

RAIN DATE: No way! We're geocachers!! This picnic is happening no matter what kind of day Mother Nature decides to deal us. Be prepared for whatever weather we may have. A covered pavilion will be our home base for the picnic.

COST: We will be collecting $2-3 from each adult (but not children) to cover the cost of the pavilion. If we collect more than we have spent, the surplus will be put towards the next event.

CONTACT INFO: If you find the park but can't find the pavilion, we will have walkie talkies on and tuned to channel 2.

DIRECTIONS: If you need directions visit www.doylestownpa.org/Directions.htm.
