“INDIANA SPIRIT QUEST”

The Indiana Spirit Quest series of geocaches will take you to a number of historic cemeteries built by Hoosier Pioneers. In just a year and a half, the quest has grown to over two hundred forty caches hidden in twenty-four Indiana counties, and two Ohio counties, and the hiders have grown to nine cacher teams, six of which are comprised of A Man and His Dog... and one who is a Dog and her Woman. Over 450 cacher teams have logged over 5,100 finds. One cache machine found 102 ISQ caches in a single day.

INDIANA SPIRIT QUEST #254
”Is That a Pink Birdhouse?!"

Welcome to Mt. Zion Cemetery in Miami County. If you mosey around a bit, you may encounter two Civil War government tombstones for Daniel Sunday, C. E, 86th Ohio and David Sunday, Co. B, 68th Ohio. What? You're not quite sure how to mosey? Well, I'n not sure we can help you there except to tell you, you hook your thumbs in your jeans pockets, and kick up a little dust with the heels of your boots--it's just short of an amble. On second thought maybe you'd better not try it without a net...

(Mount) Zion is an ancient Hebrew designation for Jerusalem, but already in biblical times it began to symbolize the national homeland (see eg, Psalm 137.1-6). In this latter sense it served as a focus for Jewish national-religious hopes of renewal over the centuries. Ancient hopes and attachments to Zion gave rise to Zionist longings and movements since antiquity, culminating in the modern national liberation movement of that name. ...

In the The Matrix films, Zion is a city where the humans who have been freed from the Matrix live. It is cylindrical in design, composed of many different levels. The top level is the Docks, where Zion hovercraft stay. Living quarters are lower down. The bottom level is for vital machinery, such as that which supplies water to Zion's inhabitants.

DANIEL SUNDAY.
