Lac la Hache is the site of an ancient Indian village 'Kumatakwa', meaning "chief" or "queen of the waters".

Visit another of our caches nearby, 'Lac la Hache Travel Bug Camp-out' across the hwy in the campsite. No need to dodge traffic, cross under the hwy in the culvert walkway.
