Knapelid
Knapelid är en vacker utsiktspunkt över sjön Rottnen.
När du har beundrat utsikten, går du nedför berget till Trollabryggan. Mellan sjöarna Rottnen och den trolska Tomtsjön finns en c:a 100 meter lång kanal, grävd på 1880-talet. Den möjliggjorde ångbåtstrafik mellan sjöarna och då åkte man hästskjuts till bryggan vid Tomtsjön och sedan med tåg från Hovmantorp till staden, som var Wexiö. Ångbåtstrafiken varade i 43 år. Bron över kanalen kallas Trollabryggan och det går en vacker strövstig runt den 900 meter långa sjön utmed dess branta stränder.
Knapelid is a beautiful point from which there is a view over the lake Rottnen. When you have admired the view, go down the hill, to "the Trollbridge". Between the lakes Rottnen and the magical Tomtsjön there is a100 meter long canal dug out in the 1880's. It made steam boat traffic possible between the lakes and the you travelled by horse to the pier at Tomtsjön and then by train from Hovmantorp to the town, which was Wexio. The steam boat traffic lasted for 43 years. The bridge over the canal is called "the Trollbridge" and there is a nice walking path around the 900 meter long lake with its steep cliffs.
