Geocache Description:

A sandy park with a short walk to the cache.

This park acquired its name from the 100-foot high sand dune located there. It is a favorite destination for kids of all ages. Little ones love running down the dune and the older ones find it a challenge to make it up the hill. The best part is running the dune with a cool breeze behind you. Two hundred steps switchback up the dune as well as a natural trail that provides different ways to reach the top. The trail winds through indigenous plant life and provides an interesting and educational nature walk. The top of the dune provides a panoramic east facing view of the City.

This three-acre park also includes a fenced small children's play areas with swings, merry-go-round, and climbing equipment. The park has shaded picnic facilities for about 20, an open pavilion, and two picnic tables. Restrooms and drinking fountains are also available.

Muggle Warning: The biggest challenge for this cache is looking casual as muggles run by. Practice your nonchalant pose prior to attempting!

Street Parking is pretty good, watch out for children since this is in a residential neighborhood.

Cache requires no bushwacking.

Definitely not handicapped accessible.
