Geocache Description:

This is an easy single-stage micro, hidden in a traditional location.

I was out placing my first cache ever, and my son REALLY wanted to place one, too. I want to encourage him, so this cache is the result.

Lake George is a 70-acre lake that is about a mile in circumference. In spite of it's small size and the fact that it has a dam that helps it maintain its relatively shallow depth (16 feet max), it's a natural (not man-made) lake. This is a good lake to take kids fishing on--my kids love it!

This body of water is maintained by the Lake George Rehab District. The LGRD taxes the surrounding sub-divisions (and not just those that have lakefront property). In an effort to get assistance from Wisconsin's DNR, the LGRD recently added a parking lot to this boat ramp. This gave me (and my son, of course) an opportunity to squeeze in this cache!

For a good map of Lake George, check out this GREAT Wisconsin DNR website: (visit link)

Hope you catch a micro!
