The Mentor Cache is located along the Appalachian Trail near a shelter named for a well know long distance hiker!
You are looking for a small plastic canister hidden in the woods. Satellites are rather hard to get, so take your time. This cache was hid as a memorial to my mentor. You should be able to figure out who if you go on up the trail just a little bit. If you follow the signs, you will see a neat little shelter with a loft, complete with windows. This mentor has written "Appalachian Hiker" and "Appalachian Hiker II". His books were a very big influence on my hiking experience. I have referred his books to several people.
