Geocache Description:

Clustered together along the sandstone cliffs of Terry Canyon (off NM Hwy 35) is an interesting group of Hoodoos with distinct "totem pole-shaped bodies".

Hoodoos are composed of soft sedimentary rock, and are topped by a piece of harder, less easily eroded stone that protects the column from the elements.

You will have to open and close a forest service gate @ N33 00.246 W108 05.511. There is a rock-packed site not far from the gate for passenger cars. A short hike through the creek bed will lead you to an up-close-and-personal visit with these neat totems.

Cache is a camo-covered ammo can with neat trade items, logbook & pen. First finder can grab out signature FTF certificate.

As always in the southwest, please watch out for snakes and desert creatures. Use those walking sticks & be careful when you prod & probe looking for a geocache!
