This is a 2 leg multi cache to showcase the Town of Amherst's newest park, Eggertsville Park. The park is located along a lesser known section of Sweet Home Road, between Maple Road and Sheridan Drive, closer to Maple Road. Parking coordinates and a mapquest map of parking are available by clicking on the link in "The Selector" near the bottom of this cache description.
After exiting the geo mobile, admire the sparkling brand new (at the time of cache placement) playground and basketball court. Don't worry, you'll not have to be acting like a weirdo in full public view though, because there is a nice stone walking trail (Paved a few years after the cache was placed) that makes about a 1/4 mile loop in a wooded area east of the playground, and that's where both legs of this cache are.
The first leg is slightly devious, but nothing most people haven't seen before, and it should be pretty visible, especially with no foilage fall, winter and spring. The final leg is a small hanging lock-n-lock container. Ideally, I would have liked to place a regular traditional end cache in the woods inside the loop, but it appears to be a hangout for kids. Both legs of this multi-cache are very winter accessable.
The end cache contains a sawed-off pencil, but you should always bring your own to be on the safe side.
