Abteikirche Otterberg Multi-Cache

A two stage multi that will start you in the historical town centre (Historischer Stadtkern) of Otterberg.

The above coordinates will place you in front of the Abby Church which dates its beginnings back to the 11th Century.

There are many historical buildings located within easy walking distance of the Abteikirche. I highly recommend spending a bit of time to see them. To help you locate them, the above coordinates will place you beside an information board with the recommended tour (Empfohlener Rundgang). There are also plenty of places to enjoy a nice meal or a drink! How about the historical Blaues Haus (1612)?

You will also need the information from the recommended tour to determine the coordinates for the next stage.

Each stop of the tour is numbered. To determine the coordinates you will need this number.

A = Jüdische Synagoge
B = Haus Jörg
C = Haus Strauß
D = Abteikirche
E = Mauer des Abthauses


Now you can head to stage two at:

E 007° 47.DE

The distance is around 1,4 km straight line. Walking is possible, but I would recommend taking a car or bike. (you can park at the determined coordinates).

At stage two, you are fairly close to the final cache.

Now proceed on:

a bearing of 165° (True) for a distance of 115 meters.

Recommend you take the hint with you to decode in-case of need.

If you have problems finding the cache using projected waypoints, then send me a message after you have finished stage one (include the coordinates that you determined) and I’ll give you a hint on how to determine the final coordinates from your computer. The final cache is a Rubbermaid container. Please be sure the cache is well hidden when you are done!
