Geocache Description:

This cache looks out toward the west and the fantastic views of Rancho San Diego, La Mesa, Mt. Helix, San Diego, and the ocean beyond. The cache is accessed by a steep rocky trail. Use GCPMXD, "You Can Cache" as a bread crumb to get to the parking area for this cache.

You are looking for a small tin container. Please be careful during your search because you never know what sort of critters you might find lounging around looking at the fantastic view to the west and the ocean beyond.

There is no bushwacking involved in looking for this cache. You do not need to leave the relatively level terrain to find this cache. The cache is hidden beneath a small bush. There is a small pencil in the cache, but you might want to have your own pen to sign the log, just in case.

The trail to this cache is best accessed from Hidden Trail/Hidden Wood/Hidden Ridge parking area. Hidden Trail is accessed from Lyons Valley Road. There is another small cache near there, "You Can Cache," to guide you to the parking.

UPDATE: November 4, 2005. I made a trip up the mountain and discovered that my cache container, a plastic blue whale with a 35mm film canister in his belly, had disappeared. I did not have another whale so I replaced the cache with a small tin container. It has a replacement log and a few trade items.
