This cache is being placed in honor of our cat. No he's not dead, but it'll happen one day, so we figured we might as well honor him now, rather than...later. He is a cool guy and puts up with our dog! He has been with us since we were in college and has litterally grown up with us over the last 13 years. He looks like a thin Garfield, also the name of the street this cache is on.
We found this very small "pocket park" while out on a bike ride in the 'hood. It's our first regular cache (our other one is a micro) so we placed some small toys inside: bubbles, parachute guys, sticky fish things, a prized Homer Simpson "Are we there yet" watch (which we really had a hard time parting with, but it's for the love of the sport...and the cat) and a Travel Bug we picked up in Rhode Island.
Muggles shouldn't be a big problem, but please try to avoid drawing too much attention to yourself because cars are parked very close by. (Queens residents can be very protective of their cars). Think stealthy...like a cat.
This area is very slow at night but can be busy with muggle workers during the day.
Parking nearby should be very easy and this one is safe to do at night, if you wish. This would be a great cache n' run.
