Q & A

New cachers... have questions about GPSr's, paperless/PDA's, map software or general caching? Please participate in our Q&A session design to help answer any caching realted questions you may have. A few experienced cachers have offer to help.

Thanks to:

  • camp637
  • NoLemon
  • CoD
  • Stunod

for volunteering to participate in the Q&A session.

Caches

There will be caches placed just for the kids. Adults...No, you can't log them! LOL!

There will be approximately 7 new permanent caches listed for this event. They will be part of a Scrabble game that will be explained in detail that morning.

Things people can volunteer to bring:

  • grills.... (Happy Hobbits 1 grill... Thanks!)
  • folding tables... (CoD 2 tables Thanks!)
  • horseshoes
  • beanbag games
  • lawn darts
  • volleyball net and ball... (Newtsons...Thanks!)
  • any fun game or activity you can think of.

I have made event tokens. If you post a "Will Attend" log on or before Sept.15th, you will be guaranteed to get one.

Sig Items... bring yours to trade. Especially since there will be cachers from out of state attending. I will have mine available.

Blues Man has volunteered to be the keeper of TB's for the picnic. Thanks Blues Man!

TBs will have to be signed in and out since there has been a rash of TB orphaned on the event pages as of late.

Speaking of TB's...

2005/2006 TB Race Rules:

  • TBs entered must not have any miles on them prior to being entered into the race.
  • All Tb's must be ready to go,meaning activated and logged and physically dropped into the event So order those tags ASAP!
  • No junior or senior divisions this year.
  • Only one TB per caching name/team allowed.
  • You cannot take your own TB.
  • The race will run from the Picnic until August 31st of 2006.
  • SpEd & FallenFaery are not eligible to compete since we are running things.

Good Luck!

If anyone has any suggestions for activities or games please let us know and we can arrange for them to be run and included.
