A water access cache located on Herb Lake.
This is a water only access cache, so you will require a canoe to
get to it. The best starting point is the Herb Lake portage access.
You can drive your boat down to waters edge at this access point
and it also has "facilities". You can find the access point at N45
14.753 W078 47.690 The driveway can be reached from Kawagama Lake
Rd. This beautiful shallow lake will provide some great swimming
and canoeing and the fishing shows some potential as well. The
cache is on the Haliburton Highlands Water Trail and near one of
the on shore campsites. You can also access Rocky Wilderness GC1613
by just paddling a little further into Ernest Lake (no portage
required) A two for one special! If you decide to go on there is a
great little rock island where you can stop and swim. Cache is a
white round rubbermaid type container.
