Geocache Description:

DO NOT ENTER THE ACTUAL CAMP ROTARY, PARKING IS NORTH OFF OLD 27 AT A UNINHABITED PART OF THE CAMP This cache was inspired by BSA Camp Rotary and created by a scouting family. Since scouts are quite often known by the badges that they earn and collect, this cache is a themed patch cache. Please keep items to patches only (any kind). Sig cards and Sig items are okay to leave. Entrance to the cache is challenging, thus the 3 star rating This cache is available during daylight hours only!

Parking is north of the camp on old 27, There is a Camp Rotary sign and a short drive with a locked gate. THIS GEOCACHE IS NOT HANDICAPPED ACESSIBLE! **PLEASE NOTE: This is rating a higher level of difficulty because of the gate. In order to get to the cache you will need to either climb over or thru the gate or thru the wire fence on either side of the gate. Bring a buddy to help you. We don't want any one getting hurt. Be aware you have been notified, so that you are not surprised and liability is solely held by the geocacher. This cache is intended ONLY for those physically capable to manuever around the fence. Camp Rotary is privately owned, you will notice no trespassing signs. You do have permission to find the geocache. Please do not wander beyond the general caching area. We would like all cachers to be respectful of their property. Which reminds us the Boy Scout Outdoor Code, something all of geocachers can appreciate: BE CLEAN IN MY OUTDOORS MANNERS I will treat the outdoors as a heritage. I will take care of it for myself and others. I will keep my trash and garbage out of lakes, streams, fields, woods, and roadways. BE CAREFUL WITH FIRE I will prevent wildfire. I will build my fires only where they are appropiate. When I have finished using a fire, I will make sure it is cold out. I will leave a clean fire ring, or remove all evidence of my fire. BE CONSIDERATE IN THE OUTDOORS I will treat public and private property with respect. I will use low-impact methods of hiking and camping. BE CONSERVATION-MINDED I will learn how to practice good conservation of soil, waters, forests, minerals, grasslands, wildlife, and energy. I will urge others to do the same. Our son is a member of BSA troop 77. He has been attending summer camp at Camp Rotary since 2001. It is a wonderful camp, situated on Bebe Lake. It offers many opportunities for our scouts to learn a variety of skills, and responsibilities. After placing a "scout only" cache within the camp for the Camp Rotary scout campers, the camp director gave us permission to hide a public geocache in an area of Camp Rotary that is remote and secure from it's young campers. This area is a lovely hilly, open field, sprinkled with mature pines and apple trees. We found the remains of a stone foundation from an old farmhouse and other cement remains from the house's barn,--from year's gone by....____________________________________________________________
