Get the book out #1 Multi-Cache

This cache has been archived.

Nozzletime: The bridge is missing so it is a bit too hard to get to the final.
I like the area, so a new cache will be going in the area shortly.

Geocache Description:

An easy projection cache in teh south shore trails of teh Royal Botanical Gardens.

This series is going to get you to tinker with some of the settings in your GPS so you can become more accustomed to it and the menus in it.

This is a simple projection cache, located on the south shore trail system of the Royal Botanical Gardens.
It would be best not to do this after a good rain as it is in a low land.

Make sure you know how to set up your GPS to use a "True North" heading, and be able to project a waypoint.
I set it with my Geko so it can easily be found by most GPS's.

Go to the posted coordinates and there is a redirect tag.
It has the Bearing in degrees relative to True North, and the next set of numbers are Metres.

Please stay on the path it is hard to see in places.

Smudge(my dog if you don't know) even left a huge hint close to the cache area, so if you are close you will see the hint.

Parking on the side of Cootes Paradise Drive.
N 43° 16.060 W 079° 55.754

Trail head across the street
N 43° 16.066 W 079° 55.700

Magnetic north is the magnetic North pole which is near Greenland.
True North is at 90° latitude or the top of the globe.

If you are not sure how to do projections here is a good page for both Garmin or Magellan (visit link)

It should take just over an hour to complete this cache.
Don't forget your bug spray! I didn't get bit but i am sure it can be buggy.

If you believe there are any problems with the cache setup, please advise me privately by email so that I may fix them if necessary.
