Geocache Description:

Located in Wilgus State Park, this cache provides a poor if not enjoyable view of the Connecticut River on a nice little hike. (Ok - the trees have grown in since this cache was placed in 2004 so don't expect any view from the cache site!

Short but steep on a well worn path. There is admission for entering the park between Memorial Day and Columbus Day.

NO NEED TO BUSHWACK! TAKE THE TRAIL! I will no longer tolerate dangerous and destructive behavior.

IF YOU DO NOT USE THE TRAIL YOUR LOG WILL BE DELETED STARTING 5/10/2007

In 2002, former Ranger John accidentally mowed to close to the river's edge with his brand new, park issued John Deere Lawn Tractor. The mower began to slide down the embankment and despite the efforts to reverse his course, the mower continued. John jumped off and 100 feet later, the iconic green and yellow, Vermont native tractor plunged into the chilly spring waters of the Connecticut River. The story was soon forgotten......This cache commemorates that event for all time. Stop in a say hello to the new rangers. Please log your most embarassing moment....i'll keep it a secret!
