How Geocaching Works

Geocache Description:

The northenmost cache of Sweden, and the place where Sweden, Finland and Norway share border.
Easiest reachable by boat from Kilpisjärvi, Finland, followed by a 3 km walk.

The coordinates leads You to the Swedish cairn #1. There is a year on it (ABCD).

The cache (a one litre round box) is located at:
N69 03.[D-2][C][A+1]
E020 33.[A-1][C][D-7]

Explore Sweden is a collection of caches named after Sweden's most challenging adventure race.

The caches can be logged individually, and they all include a code number to be used for calculating the coordinates to the final multicache.

Common characteristics for all the caches are

  • High terrain factor. Special equipment and skills are most often required.
  • Extreme distances between the caches. Over 2000 kms in total!
  • A four digit code written on the inside binder of the loggbook
    You will need this code to calculate the position of the final cache
