SPIRIT QUEST”
The Indiana Spirit Quest series of geocaches
will take you to a number of historic cemeteries built by
Hoosier Pioneers. In just a year and a half, the quest has grown to
over two hundred seventy caches hidden in twenty-seven Indiana
counties, and two Ohio counties, and the hiders have grown to ten
cacher teams, nine of which of which are comprised of Dogs and
their Humans. Over 480 cacher teams have
logged over 5,400 finds. One cache machine found 102 ISQ caches in
a single day (daylight hours only).

”Old Trinity!"
Welcome to Trinity Cemetery, Salem Twp.,
Steuben County.

This was known as Dutch
Mills Cemetery at one time. The most obvious thing you will see
here is the decrepit old church house which has been abandoned for
many years. (unsafe to enter!)
This is a mid size cemetery
that is still active. A newer chain link fence surrounds the area.
It is nicely maintained. There is parking in front of the
gate.
It looks to have had an
early beginning, with slow, but steady growth. I found graves of
veterans of the Civil War, WWI, WWII & Vietnam
here.
One nice thing I saw was an
older marker, Civil War, that the small, lightly engraved
inscription at the bottom was quite legible; usually this area is
eroded away. Many of the Civil War era veterans markers here are
illegible or have no verifying inscriptions, just the bronze
flagholders. --SHADOW

CACHE THAT INDICATE NIGHT CACHING WILL BE DELETED WITHOUT
NOTICE!
The cache container is a
camo'd match holder. BYOP. .The cache is not
located near a grave... If you find a fallen US flag, please
stick it back in the ground. As always, please be respectful,
