1 acre of ground was donated September 3rd 1887 to school district #12 and a building was built. This school building was used for church services in 1897. July 1910 this property was sold to the highest bidder. The buyer leased the building back to the community for a place to worship in 1933 and in 1934 the building was in such condition the people salvaged what material they could and with other material, mostly donated native lumber and labor. They built another building on this site. The shingles were made of cypress brought from the L'Anguille River Bottoms. The ladies made and sold quilts. Home talent shows and pie suppers were given to raise money for the church building. June 1952 the owner granted a quit claim to this property to the trustees of the church. August 23, 1954 the building was moved to the back part of the land and November 1954 ground breaking ceremonies for a new church building of brick with a large auditorium and 6 Sunday school rooms. The church is a comunity church with Methodist and Baptist holding services all having Sunday school and services together. The Methodist organization dates back before 1900 and Baptist organization back to 1917.
