Bugg Books
A Kansas Heartland Geocache
From Dune
Bugg:
As you lay on a summer's day
in a warm and sunny place,
don't look up into the skies;
instead, look down and squint your eyes.
Squint them both so very tight
that if you look with all your might
you'll find the land of Morethansmall.
For in this land live Buggs, thats all.
When our oldest child was a
young toddler, we read many books to her, some of them were called
the Bugg Books, by Stephen Cosgrove. She had the WHOLE
collection, LOTS of books. She had lots and lots of books, but the
Bugg Books were her favorite. We would read those Bugg Books to her
at bed time until it got very late at night, reading book after
book after book after book...after book after book. We always had
to end with Eevil Weevil. That was her favorite one. Every
now and then she would fall asleep before we couldn't read
anymore.
When she was about three or
four, she would "read" the books to us, but she couldn't read the
words yet. She would just recite the long stories word-for-word
from memory. Now in college, she still remembers the Eevil Weevil
story, and that if you look with all your might you'll find the
land of Morethansmall, and in this land are Buggs, that's
all.
You are looking for a black
ammo box with a cantuland-geocache-logo painted on the sides.
Original contents include a Guide to Geocaching, a Sacagawea gold dollar
coin, a Kansas quarter, a Lewis-and-Clark edition nickel, one of
those new-Lincoln-image-on-the-back pennies, an old wheat penny,
and lots of other miscellaneous trade items.
Congratulations to SilleB for being First To
Find!
