Furtho then Further (Northants) Multi-Cache
oldun: With the farmer getting upset for some reason (after all, 48 finds in 7 years is hardly a flood of humanity!), it's time to put this one to bed.

Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions
in our disclaimer.
The co-ordinates above are for PARKING. Level walk, one stile, no bikes or buggies. Cattle and sheep around. No toilets.
Drive off the A508 and on a week day park either at the co-ordinates above OR at week-ends you may drive all the way to the end and park in the car park for the small businesses near the farm. Don’t be surprised if someone asks if you want any help – they are quite security conscious, having had a few break-ins. Each time I visited I just said that I was visiting the church and taking a short walk along the public footpaths. From your parking place make your way to the church.
Furtho is one of the lost villages of Northants. Only the church and an interesting 15th century dovecote are all that is left of a village that was registered as Forho in the Domesday Book. It is thought that the village ‘died’ when the main Northampton road (now the A508) that used to run directly through it, was diverted when the parish was enclosed in about 1600.
In medieval times only the Lord of the Manor had a right to build a dovecote (keep the workers starving!). The Furtho dovecote was probably built in the grounds of the Manor Farm and would have been a steady source of meat and eggs. It has had quite a few alterations over the years and there is evidence of blocked up doorways, partial rebuilding and the putting in of a new floor.
The church fell into disrepair over the years and it was not until 1991-92 that the Churches Conservation Trust carried out an extensive restoration and repair programme. The church is now used for services several times a year and is always open. I hope that you enjoy your visit.
At the church you will need to find the following to be able to sort out the co-ordinates for the final cache:
A= The number of uprights in the communion rail gate.
BC= The number of candles that CAN be held in each of the cross-shaped holders (NOT 12!).
D= The number of windows that can be opened.
EF= In the graveyard, the age of James Kendall when he died.
Now work out the following:
The final co-ordinates will be
N52:(C-F)(D+A):(A-D)(E-C+B)(F-C)
W000:(E-D)(F-A-B):(E-A+B)(F-D-B-A)(B+C-D-A)
You are looking for a container only a bit bigger than a micro, tucked away in a nook (or cranny!), so no swaps I'm afraid.
Watch out for stepping in rabbit holes - there's loads of them around the cache site.
*****DON'T FORGET TO TAKE A PEN/PENCIL*****
Please re-hide the cache carefully, we don't want this replacement lark to become a hobby!! :)
