OdysseusRex: Looks like the cache container has up and disappeared. Someday I’ll replace it, but for now all that I can do is archive this listing.

Geocache Description:

A small, easy-to-find cache at an historic location along J-59 (La Grange Rd) south of Hwy 132.

The historic Tuolumne Gold Dredge started operation on June 15, 1933.  It floated on a self-created pond of water, was larger than a football field, weighed over 2,500 tons, and cost $543,000 to build.  The dredge used electricity to drive 120 4,000 pound buckets 70 feet deep to recover gold.  It stopped operation in July 1951.

You can see the dredge from the cache sight.  Bring a pen or pencil to sign the log book.  Hide the cache as well or better than you found it.

Have fun,
-OdysseusRex
