Geocache Description:

The Eagle's Nest is fun, and easy to find. Hopefully all treasure seekers will learn something in the process.

The terrain is mostly flat and an easy 2/10 mile walk to the cache. It should be a great cache for familes with young children, or cachers wanting an easy first find. There may be some minor over growth and some slippery spots along the trail. Also, be careful of roots, as they are easy to trip over. Please restore the cache's hiding place as well or better than found. The cache has been "muggled" before, so make sure it isn't out in the open.

Park well off Old Fritztown Rd. on the south side or on Rebecca Drive.

Please give yourself some extra time to enjoy the trail. There is a biological gem near #6, an Americian Elm that is rare to find in the wild due to Dutch Elm disease.

This cache is dedicated to Daniel R. Troy who planned and constructed this interpretive trail as his Eagle Scout Project. (Eagle Scout Project- hence the name Eagle's Nest. There are no eagle nests at the cache site)

I hope that all Geocachers will enjoy learning of and on this trail and landing in the "Eagle’s nest".

The GPS signal bounces because of the overgrowth, so you may want to search larger than the range your GPS gives you. I hope the clues help if you have problems.
