Just Test-ing Multi-Cache

This cache has been archived.

Lolly gang: Have had to archive this one as the end location is just about to have houses built on it - very sad. [V] [:(]
Thanks to everyone who visited this cache which was our first - and for leaving all your messages both in the log book and on line - we have really enjoyed reading them all.
We will try to think of another cache route around Whitchurch for a new cache in due course.

Geocache Description:

This is a pleasant walk around Whitchurch in Hampshire, passing various parts of the River Test en route.
Be sure to bring some bread with you – it’s great fun feeding the trout on the various bridges – the ducks if they’re quick may get a look in – but the trout are very fast!!

The first five stages are on the level either on pavement or tarmac footpaths. There is one section which is a dirt/grit footpath (which can be slightly narrow in places) and can be muddy in wet weather and the final cache location is in a meadow area which again is reasonably level.

The cache container is an ammo box containing all the usual swaps and a log book. Please take the time to re hide the cache properly afterwards – thanks.

There is lots of free parking in Whitchurch – the largest free car park is in Bell St
N 51. 13.789 W 001.20.456 which is ideally placed to start/finish this walk.
You won’t need to back track on any paths but continue along the footpaths in a circular route which in total is just over 2 miles using the above car park as your start/finish.

There is a park on route with swings and slides etc to keep the children happy and several pubs also on the way to keep the grown ups happy!!. You will also pass The Whitchurch Silk Mill which is open to the public and opening/admission times if you are interested can be found on (visit link)
