A quick an easy drive by cache, a short drive from Pauperhaugh (PopperHoff) not too far from Rothbury or Morpeth depending on which way you choose to come in.
Depending on the time of year (tree cover) and how much rain fell up in the hills (river depth and speed) the cache could be more difficult at certain times. A nice quite spot in amongst the trees and down by the river to watch the local wildlife. when we placed the cache we saw a fox, a kestrel, a barn owl and lots of rabbits. You don’t need to go into the river but be careful along the bank and down by the ford crossing.
