Geocache Description:

Rocky terrain with fairly obvious trails marked. Cache location is at an evevation of 4478 feet.

Mt. Pilchuck is truly a hikers paradise. All good things come in threes so I felt this mountain deserved a third cache. This hike, which ends at a look out tower at the highest point, takes about 2 and a half to three hours to complete each way. On a clear day you can see forever and the views are breath-taking. The effort exhausted in taking on this mountain is paid back many fold in the views you will behold. To get to the trailhead you take the Mountain Loop Highway out of Granite Falls and take the first right turn after the bridge that comes just after the Ranger Station. Don't forget a parking pass which can be purchased at the Ranger Station or some of the gas stations in the Granite Falls, Lake Stevens area.
The cache is in a green ammo box with a black plastic bag wrapped around it. The satellite coverage is very good at the cache location as it is at a open rocky area with few trees to interupt the signal.
The original contents of the cache is four travel bugs,including a 2005 white jeep, a vintage metal toy soldier, and several other small toys.
