The Timp is a favorite hike for my campers. It has wonderful views. This cache received NY State Parks Permit #H05-6 in July 2005
A standard ammo container with log and pencil. My hides are simple and standard caching hides at this time. My campers have yet to master the standard hide so I do not attempt anything "clever" at this time. They are also "safe" hides and nothing dangerous or near the edge. This also complies with the NYS Park permit guidelines for caches. The object of my camp series of caches is to get the campers hiking and to use the GPS to verify the destination. As of 8-28-05, 4 out of at least 6 of the series are in place.
A nice hike from either the Palisades Parkway or Route 9-W. For a shorter hike, email the cache owner for permission and details to park at our camp and use the Scout Trails.
