Strömbergshyttan var från början ett glasbruk som bar namnet Lindefors. 1876 anlades det första bruket. 1933 köptes bruket av Edvard Strömberg som ändrade namnet till Strömbergshyttan. 1978, under glaskrisens värsta år, lades glasbruket ner.

Strömbergshyttan was from the beginning a glass factory named Lindefors. The first glass factory was established in 1876. In 1933 the factory was bought by Edvard Sttrömberg who changed the name into "Strömbergshyttan". In 1978, during the worst year of the glass crisis, the factory was closed down.
