Geocache Description:

In the heart of the Quantock hills near the Forestry Commission Ramscombe picnic area.

If you come from the south leave the A358 at Cromcombe and cross the Quantock Hills via Crowcombe Park Gate to Frian and turn right at [ST181387] just after the cattle grid.

If you come from the north turn off the A39 opposite the Cottage Inn at [ST210392] and follow the signs for Ramscombe.

The entrance to Ramscombe is at N51 08.045 W003 10.223 [ST182379]

Suggested parking is at N51 08.009 W003 11.593 [ST165378] but there are two other car parks along the track if you want a longer walk. At the picnic area there are toilets and barbeque facilities. From the suggested car park, you must walk further up the valley to the cache. When you have found the cache you can either return directly to the car park or follow the waymarked trail or one of the many forest tracks and public footpaths in the area.
