Geocache Description:

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE BE SURE to close the ziplock bag so the log won't get wet...

Also, BE REALLY CAREFUL, THERE ARE LOTS OF MUGGLES AROUND THIS CACHE SPOT AND THIS CACHE HAS BEEN MUGGLED SEVERAL TIMES ALREADY, but it's a favorite spot!!

This wonderful park on the Valley Creek Estuary is at the corner of Valley Street, Front Street, Marine Drive and 1st Street in Port Angeles! The Bridge is dedicated to everlasting respect, friendship and cooperation between the people of the Shimokita Peninsula, Aomori Prefecture, Japan, and the people of the Olympic Peninsula, Washington State, USA. Check out all of the park, it's got a GREAT view!

NOTE: So many have asked about this: The logs in the water are staging for the paper mill at the West end of the harbor, on Ediz Hook! There are also several great caches out on the hook - don't be afraid to drive thru the paper mill and on out onto the hook - it's OK to do so!

Unfortunately, peeps do not close the ziplock bag and this log is always wet...I've tried EVERYTHING, even "Rite in the Rain" paper! I don't know of a good answer to this! Maybe a log-less cache?
