I happened upon this location a while back while checking out possible cache sites using mapping software. The street arrangement around this reserve seemed to call out for a cache at the above coordinates, so I visited the area and found what seemed to be a decent spot and took some readings. However, when I got home and checked them on the map, they weren't very close to where I wanted them to be.
I let the project slide for a while, but after seeing Rabbito's "Rabbitto's Valley Challenge" caches come up - where you are supposed to use your cacher's instincts and skills rather than your GPSr to locate the cache, I conceived the notion of a cache where the converse would apply.
This cache was (possibly) not placed in any of the locations a geocacher would traditionally hide a cache - the coordinates were selected from a map, and we had to place and conceal the cache as close as possible to those coordinates - thereby eliminating the tendency to use an easily recognizable hiding method or location.
The reserve it's hidden in is no neatly manicured piece of inner suburban greenery and the cache is well concealed, so I'd expect it to be reasonably difficult to find, therefore I've made the hint fairly specific - please indicate in your logs whether you used the hint or not.
It was a rather fun way to place a cache - like finding one at the same time as placing it
.
Please ensure the cache is rehidden well before you leave and try to cover your geotrail, or it will become progressively easier for later finders - thereby invalidating the major aim of the cache (i.e. not to rely on the usual cache signs). The cache is a 400ml Sistema container with the usual trinkets - Good Luck.
