Thompson's Cache Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

sewmama: We got to check on this one and it looks like alot of kids are playing here so it wasn't surprising this one went missing. We may hide another smaller version sometime but if someone else local would like to hide a cache here, feel free. Thanks Folks!! Sewmama, Nightelf, and Guitardoc

How Geocaching Works

Geocache Description:

This will take you near a unique structure built in 1832 named after 'Thompson' and there are three of them that I know are located in this small town. I hope you will take time to explore the town and the meandering path the Ashuelot River takes through it.

The cache is an ammo box filled with trinkets and a first to find prize of a small box with a little caching gas money. It is an easy find that will take you across from an old textile mill which at one time were quite numerous in the area. It is dog-friendly, could be more difficult with snow but not impossible. Please be careful of small children near the edge of the river. Don't let them walk too far ahead of you along the path. There's parking at a pull- off near Thompson's and the cache is just a short walk from it. Please be careful replacing th this cache as this is also a popular fishing area and we don't want the goods to be muggled. Happy caching!!

Note: MANY MANY Thanks to the Peale Family and Backwoodslessons for their assistance in getting this cache up and running. Sewmama
