Geocache Description:


Approach this cache by parking in Knobs Pointe apartments, located off of State Street. Yes I know the GPS is telling you to take a different road, but they don't want you parking down there. Please go to the back of Knobs Pointe apartments to approach this cache. Plus it will save you from having to climb a large hill.

There is a great view of downtown Louisville from this cache. I used to have a friend who lived in the nearby apts. and we had planned to get our families together to watch Thunder Over Louisville, (which, for the out of towners, is a massive fireworks display that the city of Louisville puts on each year to celebrate the beginning of the KY. Derby Festival), from this vantage point. But then he moved out and we've still never gotten around to it, so maybe another year.

Beware of muggles while doing this cache, especially on Sunday mornings (you'll see why). WEAR BUG SPRAY, (I didn't when I placed this and had mosquitoes swarming my legs). Great place to sit and enjoy the view!

UPDATE: 3/10/10 - Replaced the old leaky container with an ammo box. With luck, this should remain high and dry.
