This is a fairly easy to find cache in an out-of-the-way corner of Springwater. The challenge is in the getting there.
This cache is hidden near the intersection of two unmaintained dirt roads. These are public roads but can become impassable at certain times of the year. GPSr readings can take some patience in this area as well. The area can often be accessed by appropriate 4WD vehicle but the risk for driving in is all yours and I can't recommend you do so. A vehicle that is not truely designed for off-road use is likely to become stranded along these roads. You can hike this one fairly easily along the dirt roads and traffic certainly won't be a hazard. You may have to locate parking other than at the points where you leave the maintained roads depending on the season and which entry point you choose. Two possible starting waypoints are N42 38.827 by W77 29.408 and N42 38.832 by W77 30.352. The former has a "Road Closed" sign to one side that is sometimes across the road when conditions are poor. The latter has posted signs for the land on either side of it but they do not refer to the right-of-way. You may pass posted signs along these roads but they do not refer to the right-of-way. There is private property along much of the edges of the area containing this cache so please be responsible and avoid treading on private land. The terrain is primarily downhill from West to East. The container is a .50 cal ammo can and I'd like to keep the theme to outdoor items but feel free to trade fairly with whatever you have. No geo-trash please.
