This event cache takes place on Saturday
August 20th at East City Park in Moscow Idaho. Moun10goat and I
will be at East City Park at 10 am. We'll be there until about
3:00pm. The bbq is at whatever time you can make it. We'll
be there pretty much all day.
The coordinates are for
the picnic shelter towards the northeast corner of the park ~~ near
the basketball court. Right now the picnic shelter is a tenative
spot til I can get it reserved later this week. Regardless, we will
have the barbeque at East City Park ~~ whether it's at the shelter
or not.
Remember to bring along what you would like to "throw on the
barbie" and an item to share. We have a little grill to bring along
and some charcoals. We'll bring along a bunch of soda's and bottled
water.
Plan on looking for a "surprise" cache. I
have two more International Cache's to place ~~ at least one will
be placed for this event. One of the two caches is from Isle of Man
(small island between Ireland and Scotland/England) and one from
Oxford England. The one from the Isle of Man has a travel bug in it
that wants to travel back to the Isle of
Man.
East City Park is
relatively easy to get to. If you have done "Honoring Our Past",
it's the same park.
If coming from Pullman:
You'll come into Moscow on the Pullman Highway. Just stay on it and
the road will curve into 3rd St. near Papa Murphy's. Stay on the
same road. Go through the TWO stop lights in Downtown Moscow, up
the hill past the high school (on the left), and about two or three
blocks past the high school is East City Park on the
left.
If coming down 95 from the North:
You'll come into town and go to the third stoplight(3rd St.). At
the light, turn left. Then just follow to the park. (see
above)
Coming in from Lewiston:
Just stay on 95 until you get to third avenue (When you get to
Moscow, there are four street lights, counting the one on third
avenue.) When you get to 3rd St., turn right and head to the
park.
Coming in from Troy area:
Take Highway 8 to Highway 95 junction. Turn right (North) and go up
two street lights from there (3rd St.) Then take a right and head
to the park.
