Riprow Valley Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

IowaAdmin: I received this email about this cache from the park ranger:

Dear Administrator,
I recently went thru the Mines of Spain State Recreation Area and pulled the following caches. These caches did not receive permission to places caches. Please archive these caches.
All individuals had been emailed about two months ago in regards to seeking permission. I will be holding the caches until the end of July 2012 if any need to pick them up.
Thank you and please let me know when these are archived.

Wayne Buchholtz/Park Ranger

Note: I asked the ranger to post a "Needs archiving" note on each of the caches in question, but I don't see such log on them. But because this request comes from the IDNR manager, and because he has apparently removed the cache, I'm going to go ahead and archive this cache.

Geocache Description:

Riprow Valley in the Mines of Spain area

This is a fairly easy cache. Lots of parking at N 42 28.224, W 090 38.949. From the parking lot hit the clearly marked hiking trail. Stay on it to the hillside and then hit the goat trails! Somewhat of a steep climb to the cache, but only for a short distance. Partake of the many other caches in this beautiful area too!

Cache is a decon container. Contents for FTF to choose from include a Sacagawea dolar, new LED keychain light, and two free kids passes for the Crystal Lake Caves.
