This cache is hidden in the disused slate quarry at Cwm Penmachno. It will be maintained by E and T who live at Penmachno, hence the name. It may become one of a series in this area ... in the fullness of time!

The quarry hasn't been worked since the 1960's. Peregrine falcons occasionally nest on the quarry walls.
Nearest place to leave a car is at N53 00.454 W003 51.601
After the car parking area, cross a stile (March 2012: stile replaced by a kissing gate.)
This cache was moved to a new nearby location on 9.8.12 because the hiding places it has had before kept on being demolished by the weather and time, a.k.a. slate-thieves.
Because of its new hiding place I've been able to trade it up to a small click-lock box which now contains some goodies and a nice new log book and pencil.
Please replace as found well out of casual sight.
