Need some school supplies? Or maybe some goodies to spark up your desk at home or at work? Then you’ve got to get to ‘Back to School in October’ where the price is right! You just might get the deal of the century on those erasers you’ve been waiting for!
This cache is located in October State Forest in Massachusetts. The cache container, a large plastic canister with a hot pink lid, contains all kinds of school supplies from pencils to paper clips. Feel free to take any item that you need, and exchange it for one that you want to share.
We found this cache location while on ATV’s, but it is accessible via many other modes of transportation once you are in the forest. The cache is off of the Washington Mountain Road trail, a large trail that runs along a stream that is quite scenic. We picked a spot that is abundant with natural beauty and a place where man has found a way to work with nature.
Parking is available in many different parts of the forest, depending on how far you want to travel to the cache. If you park by October Mountain reservoir, the walk should be less than a mile. Pick up a trail map while in the park and see what the area has to offer. But whatever you do, have fun!
