Florida's Fabulous Five Celebration Event Cache

This cache has been archived.

Isonzo Karst: Thanks to all who attended. Cake and ice cream, friends and caching, what could be better. Congratulations to Pazooter on winning the Best New Hider 2005 award, to legna&sOulbAit on winning the You Are a Star contest, to BurgiDad for his second place in that contest, honorable mention to tdjvolks. A big thanks to The Federation for sending along a couple of personal geocoins as prizes. And thank you to RREngineer for joining the judges panel.

With just a couple of exceptions, the remaining TBs on the page are personal, I assume they'll be log out as the owners attend another event (this weekend if Wilma doesn't interfer).

Geocache Description:

Come to a PARTY in Pasco County's River Park celebrating 5 years of Florida caching. Time 11-2, place the Big pavillion for pot-luck lunch. We'll supply iced beverage of choice (as long as you chose water), eating tools, and a birthday cake. If you want something more to eat, better bring it.

Florida's first cache was listed September 24, 2000, Point Washington. On the 5th Birthday of Florida geocaching, let's all get together and talk and eat and laugh and just share some grins about the whole thing. park entry 28°21.016 82°07.728. Here's Eagle Dad's bookmarked list of the River Park caches.

You might want to load the following points into your GPS. I can email you a GPX file that will load into EasyGPS or ExpertGPS for direct load into your GPSr. There's a game afoot, geocoin to the winner and a Smiley for all. We may be able to load some GPSrs from laptops, no guarantees. A compass could be useful, not required, we'll have a couple to loan.

If you can pack bikes, they'd help get you out into the Green Swamp West caching.

Aug 30, I had to replace the missing cache at All Fall Down GCND45. It's a new and somewhat tougher hide - those who have found it before can log it again.

well, I would be a member of the Florida Geocaching Association, if we really had one. We can talk about that too.
