Lady Chihuahuas Cache Multi-Cache
Alpine Reviewer: As I have not received an update from the cache owner, I am archiving this cache to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. This is a simple and straight forward, four step, multi cache
located along a very nice hiking and bike trail in Thornton,
Colorado. You can park at (N39 55.691, W104 58.130) for a 1 mile
round trip walk or you can park at (N39 55.408, W104 58.094) for a
1/2 mile walk. The cache is a small glass jar approximately 2
inches across and 6 inches tall. This path is well used -- so keep
your eye peeled for muggles. There are tall trees in the area and
that may tend to give you false readings on your GPSr -- be
patient. As with all caches located in wooded and weedy areas, use
your walking stick to ward off any unfriendly critters. All
waypoints are on the EAST side of the path. As depicted in our user
name (Chihuahuas-3) we have 3 chihuahuas. Their names are Angelita
(Sadly we must report that Angelita passed
away on 3/8/2006- but we are sure she would have wanted us to
continue this cache -- this cache is in her honor),
Takita, and Jamocha. The first three caches we established were
named after them (Angelita's Angels, Takita's Treasures and
Jamocha's Jewells). They were very content with their individual
caches, but got together and decided that they wanted a
multi-cache. Angelita is the oldest and wisest of the three and has
decided that she alone will guide you to the actual cache location.
But Takita and Jamocha are very protective of her and have decided
that you must go thru them to get to Angelita and thus the final
coordinates for the cache. So follow the steps below to meet up
with our ladies and ultimately, your prize. All
dates are in MM-DD-YY format.
1. Proceed to the coordinates depicted above and find Jamocha. Add
Jamocha's birth day, birth month and birth year together. Add that
result to 486 giving AAA. Continue on to N39 55.AAA, W104 58.120.
2. Find Takita at the coordinates derived at in step 1. Substitute
Takita’s birth month for B. Add 3 to Takita's birth day to obtain
CC. Proceed to Angelita, located at N39 55.457, W104 5B.1CC.
3. Multiply Angelita's birth year (YY) by 4. Add 35 to the result
giving DDD. The cache is located at N39 55.DDD, W104 58.110
