Q Series #03: "Q Who?" Traditional Cache
Scrudder: I'm not in the area anymore, and am going to archive the rest of the Q series of caches. This container is still there, as far as I know, so if anyone wants to claim it and put a new log in it, I am fine with that. I will post a note here if I go get the container.

Star Trek fans know that this particular episode is the first time we got to see the Borg, a life form that is made up of organic beings (like humans, Klingons, Romulans, etc.) that have mechanical parts attached to them. The episode "Q Who?" begins when Q accuses the human race of not being ready for space travel, while Captain Picard tells him that humanity is ready to explore the unknown. Q then moves the Enterprise across the galaxy, where they encounter a space ship in the shape of a cube. The Borg come onto the ship and download information from the computer, which allows them to find out where Earth is. To save his crew, Picard has to ask Q for help.
Most people who watched Star Trek would say that Q was the thorn in Picard's side, as he became the one alien that seemed to torment him (when the writers saw fit). Q introduced us to the Borg, was an enemy of Guinan (which made us like the Whoopie Goldberg character even more), as well as learning a little about humanity. During the 14 years that Next Generation, Deep Space Nine, and Voyager were on the air, Q appeared on a total of 12 different episodes (take into account that I'm counting the two part episodes, "Encounter at Farpoint" and "All Good Things..." as one episode each). He appeared in eight episodes of TNG, one episode of DS9, and three episodes of VOY. Yes, Q did have dealings with (at the time) Commander Sisko (Deep Space Nine) and Captain Janeway (Voyager).
This is the third of a series of caches, all named after episodes of Star Trek that dealt with the "Q" character, played by John de Lancie. There are eleven different caches, most will be traditional caches, though some may be either multiple stage or puzzle caches. Each will contain a clue to the bonus cache, number twelve in this series of caches. You will need to find the first eleven caches to solve the puzzle for the twelvth, or bonus, cache. For this cache, you are looking for a cammoed 35mm film canister.
The bonus cache is named "Q Series #12: Q2", for the last episode that Q was in.
At the end of this episode, Picard and Guinan (played by Whoopie Goldberg) are talking about what had happened. Picard tells her, "They will be coming." Guinan replies, "You can bet on it." Picard finishes the conversation by saying that Q may have helped them, "Perhaps what we most needed was a kick in our complacency, to prepare us for what lies ahead."
