The journey for this multi cache will take you to 4 virtual locations, each having Norwegian significance, in the Fargo/Moorhead area. At each virtual location you will be required to use the information you find there to calculate the coordinates for the next site.
This cache disappeared in April 2017 and was replaced with a 5" x 5: x2" container, so please bring small items to trade. You may want to allow extra time to tour the nearby buildings. When these buildings are open there could be muggles about, so use caution.
Please sign the log book, make sure all 4 corners of the cover are snapped down tightly, and reposition the cache in the same way you found it.

The coordinates posted above will take you to Location 1, a tribute to a Norwegian poet. Count the number of letters in the name under the photo. This number is Variable A. Use this Variable to determine the coordinates for Location 2. (There is road construction in the area but you can still walk to Location 2).

From the information on the plaque at Location 2, determine this man’s age when he took control of Normandy. This is Variable B.
Subtract the year this man was born from the year the monument was given as a gift to the Norsk people of America. Subtract 876. The result is Variable C.
Use Variable B and C to determine the coordinates for Location 3.
Location 3. This man was a Norwegian philosopher and poet.

Parking is restricted on the street nearest to this cache. It is recommended that you park in the campus visitor’s lot on 8th St.
To find Location 4, subtract 18 from Variable C. Use the same north coordinates for this cache. That’s right, it’s VERY close. This man was a reformer of the Norwegian Church.
