Geocache Description:

A nice easy walk for all the family, with great views

This is the first time we have hidden a cache, and we have made it fairly easy.
Seamer Beacon is part of an ancient Bronze age landscape, and, at a height of 600' it gives terrific views towards the North York Moors, across the Vale of Pickering to the Wolds, and it overlooks Scarborough and the cliffs down to Flamborough. The views are seen best in Winter. this is an ideal place for a beacon.
Don't be put off by the height, because you can park off road at N 54 16.149 W 000 26.977 (please don't block access to the gate) and you are already at 500'
It is now a gentle uphill walk of about Half a mile using public footpaths.
Due to the number of loose stones in this area, (remains of Baron Alberts Tower), We recommend taking/using the spoiler photo.
The cache contains the usual goodies.
We hope you enjoy this cache.
