Welcome to our neighborhood! Offspring is the 4th generation to be raised here. We hope you enjoy your little tour - many of these places have family significance for us.
This cache was hidden to celebrate being halfway to our goal of finding 147 caches in a year.
The terrain and difficulty of the cache itself are easy. We upped the numbers a little bit because there is a bit of hunting involved for the destination coords, although they are easy to obtain.
The coordinates listed are for the 1st clue. Here are the clues that will enable you to figure out the final stage - a small cache. The cache is hidden in a typical place off a beaten path. Of course, its Vermont and you'll have to meander a bit until you find it - but isn't that the fun?
A = N42.56.475 W073.12.676 Count the number of fire hydrants on this street (stop sign to stop sign). The number surprised us! Replace "A" with this number
B = N42.56.881 W073.12.736 Replace "B" with the last # in the organization's membership number
C = N42.56.745 W073.12.483 Replace "C" with the number of lights (latern-type) on the front of the firehouse (above the fire truck doors).
D = N42.56.789 W073.12.586 The year this building was built. Replace "D" by substracting the first number from the last number.
EE = N42.58.987 W073.12.352 Replace "EE" with the last two numbers given on the plaque
F = N42.58.988 W073.12.401 Replace "F" with (the number to fill in the blank) 1__ of the Constitutional Amendment this person authored

10.13.07 Update -- after reading the Squirrels' log, we went to check on the signage of concern. It isn't for trespassing, it is for hunting & trapping. Thank you! Clippy147
10.24.07 Update -- Offspring went to school playground to play basketball, and we were alarmed to see the playground gone! Due to "unsafe wood," this community treasure is gone and will become a parking lot. So....we've changed "C". You can park at the existing coords, or not, but we're using the building next door for the hint.
