This cache has been archived.

The Seanachai: Greetings from Geocaching.com,

While we feel that Geocaching.com should hold the location for you for a reasonable amount of time, we cannot do so indefinitely. In light of the lack of communication regarding this cache it has been archived to free up the area for new placements. If you haven’t done so already, please pick up this cache or any remaining bits as soon as possible. If you are in the process of replacing or repairing your cache please e-mail me in response to this archival and, if possible, I will unarchive your cache.

I want to thank you for the time that you have taken to contribute in the past and I am looking forward to your continued contributions to the sport of Geocaching.

Geocache Description:

Located within the Herman Covey Wildlife Management Area. Terrain is mostly a 2.5 with the exception of a few select areas. I'm rating the cache difficulty as a 3 overall...the final should be relatively easy, once you get to it.

The coordinates listed above are NOT for the cache location.
I couldn't decide where to start this multi, so YOU get to pick your own first stage!
There are 2 parking areas that you can work from. the northermost parking is at 42 15.440 N, 072 20.480 W. Parking to the south is at 42 15.144 N, 072 20.453 W.
Each first stage consists of a 1" x 3" camo wrapped match container, which holds the full coordinates to the final cache. The coordinates for each first stage are as folows: 42 15.274 N, 072 20.823 W and 42 15.531 N, 072 20.631 W. One of these is a bit closer to it's corresponding parking area than the other, but that does not necessarily mean that it's closer to the final OR that it's any easier. Then again, maybe it does...hehe.
There are two large wetlands that you have to navigate around and if you make the wrong choices, you could be in for an even longer hike. Also, if you decide to bushwhack when you think you're going to be heading away from the final cache, think again. You could turn the terrain rating into a 4 or more. If you need coords to the final's trailhead or to a good bushwhack point, feel free to e-mail me. There IS a slightly worn footpath to the final if you can find it. If not, any bushwhacking at any stage is with minimal growth.

For extra credit, find one first stage, the final, and then the second first stage. You can walk the road from one parking lot to the other, it's only .40 mile.

The final cache is a 50 cal. ammo box chock full of caching goodness. Original contents are:
THREE travel bugs (let's get 'em moving!)
TB Race to Vegas #17 Matt Kenseth
TB Race to Vegas #20 Tony Stewart
TB Race to Vegas #9 Kasey Kahne
Logbook w/pen, pencil & sharpener
2 Geocaching.com pencils
white oval GPS sticker
5"x5" geocaching window cling
calculator keyring
LED light keyring
new flashlight w/batteries
deck of cards
box of dice
2 rain ponchos
a small can of bug spray (use if needed, leave for others)

FTF prize is a Geocaching.com baseball hat. Enjoy!
