EarthCache : Booser Wellen


Rund um die Booser Maare finden Sie 35 Info-Tafeln zum Vulkanismus und zur Tier- und Pflanzenwelt.
Ein rund 4 km langer Wanderweg lädt ein zum Erholen in reizvoller Eifellandschaft.
Unterhalb des Booser Eifelturms findet Ihr eine sehr beeindruckende Lavawand mit wellenartigem Muster.
Vor ca. 40 Mio Jahren waren die ersten Vulkane in Boos aktiv.
Die letzten vulkanischen Aktivitäten liegen nur etwa 8.000 - 10.000 Jahre zurück.
Im Bereich der Kratertour findet man insgesamt 8 Schlackenkegelvulkane und die beiden Maare.
Maare und Schlackenkegel waren zeitweise nebeneinander täti





Um den Earthcache zu loggen macht ein Photo von Euch vor den Wellen, auf dem Euer Gesicht deutlich zu erkennen ist.
Keine Bilder von Euren Hunden, von Euren Rücksäcken, Euren Knuddeltieren oder ähnliches,
hier sind erkennbare Bilder von Eurer Person gefragt, alle Logs die das nicht erfüllen werden gelöscht)

und beantwortet folgende Fragen per E-Mail:
1. Wie schwer war die vulkanische "Bombe" die aus dem Schlot geschleudert wurde?
2. Wo kam die "Bombe" her?


Approximately around the Booser Maare find you to 35 info. boards to volcanism and to the animal and plant world.
Approximately 4 km a long moving way loads for recovering in delightful Eifel landscape.
Below the Booser of Eifel tower you find a very much impressing lava wall with wavelike sample.
Before approx. 40 million years the first volcanos were active in Boos.
The last volcanic activities are past only about 8,000 - 10,000 years.
Within the range of the Kratertour one finds altogether 8 cinder cone volcanos and the two Maare.
Maare and cinder cones were occasionally next to each other active.




To log this Earthcache, perform the following tasks:
Take a photo of you in front of the Waves
and mail me the answers of following questions:
1. how heavy was the volcanic "bomb" ?
2. Where the "bomb" came from ?
