Medium difficulty fell walk.

The cache is located in the 'saddle' between Cat Bells and Maiden Moor overlooking Derwent Water in Cumbria.

It was placed for the younger member of the team's kitten (Piglet) who couldn't come on our holiday with us back in August 2005 - this was his way of joining in. It is with an unbearably heavy heart that I have to edit this listing to say that after a very short illness we had to let Piglet go yesterday - 18 February 2022. He has left a massive whole in our lives. We will be scattering his ashes near his Pot.

Please keep us informed as to the condition of the cache. I have recently moved from the midlands to live near Keswick so will look in on it from time to time.

The summit of Piglet (I mean Cat) Bells is a favourite target of people holidaying in Keswick and can be very busy especially in good weather and during holidays. At 1481 feet it's a bit of a haul up to the top and not suitable for those without proper walking shoes/boots. Be prepared for the weather to turn rotten at a moments notice - have a waterproof with you.

Because of the cache's location, please take every precaution to conceal it after your visit. It's a bit fiddly but can be done.
